A renowned Sports Psychologist, Prof. Oluwaseun Omotayo has reiterated that, Sports mogul and Chairman of Bet9ja/ Proprietor, Remo Stars FC, Hon. Kunle Soname is a typical example of a POSITIVE SIGNIFICANT OTHER in Sports.
Omotayo made this known after Soname presented a Corolla car gift to Nduka Junior who is the captain of Nigerian Professional Football League side, Remo Stars in Ikenne, Ogun State recently.
A WhatsApp message sent to our correspondent reads in part: “This is great. It’s a strategic way to motivate players. You are one typical example of a positive significant other in the parlance of sports psychology”.
The message further reads “This is highly commendable and African Students Football Union (ASFU), is proud and happy to have you as our Worthy Patron and also an African Sports Management Association (ASMA), Gold Award winner. The good lord shall continue to expand your coast and business empire, he concluded”.
In the same vein, during the presentation, Soname further admonished the football team that this is a new season and they need to work hard to achieve their goals. ” Junior has displayed leadership and commitment to the club.. Today is Jjunior’s turn and tomorrow, it may be someone else”.
While responding, Junior said the kind gesture from Soname caught him unawares and thanked everybody, including his coach and team mates who continually motivate him to stay on the right track.
