Health workers under the aegis of the National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives has announced its intention to embark on an industrial action.
This is coming on the heels of the suspension of strike by the factionalised section of the NLC, the United Labour Congress called off its strike.
According to the National President of the association, Abdrafiu Adeniji,
the Federal government has turned a blind eye to their welfare, ” We would embark on a nationwide starting from tommorrow because government has taken us for granted and we won’t have any of that.” Adeniji added that health workers are important crop of employees that must be adequately catered for in order to have a sustainable Healthcare sector in the country.
