Operatives of the Ogun State Police Command say they have arrested a herbalist, Samson Ogundele for allegedly having knowledge of a 17-year-old girl who came to his house on consultation.
Galaxytv News gathered that the suspect was arrested on Wednesday 27th of July 2022, at Referefu area of Oja Odan in Yewa South Local Government area of the state.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi said the suspect was arrested following a report lodged at Oja Odan divisional headquarters by the victim.
He added that the victim reported that she is an hairdressing apprentice, and that a sum of N1000 got missing in their shop which made all the nine apprentices in the shop to consult the herbalist to know who stole the money among them.
He stated that the herbalist has confessed to the commission of the crime.
Meanwhile, the state Commissioner of Police, Lanre Bankole has directed that the suspect be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation and diligent prosecution.
