The organisers of the this year’s Change Agent Foundation International, CAFI, the 8th edition, could not have prayed for a more successful outing.
The entire Bella, Poweline, Alagbado, Ojokoro Local Council Development Area of Lagos State’s arena, venue of the well attended ceremony, was indeed highly vibrant and agog with gaily dressed women, men, youths from across Lagos State.


Sizeable number of CAFI faithful, powered by their indefatiguable leader, businessman and politician, Dr. Oladipupo Okeypmi, aka, CarryGo, also came from the neighbouring Ogun State, Oyo and Osun states to grace and and add colour to the historic occasion.
It was like a carnival, as members and guests danced rhythmically to booming songs that hallmarked the arena, while other side attractions like dancing competition, parade of Ojokoro beautities, evoked greater sweetness of the day.
There were scores of beneficiaries of the large heart of Okeyomi too. The lucky ones,who got empowered for start- up businesses like grinding machines, coolers and soft drinks, dryers, etc, were in frenzy, ecstazy.


Guests included Ogun State First Lady, Mrs Bamidele Abiodun, Minister of the Interior Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, represented by Alhaji Abdullahi Enilolobo, himself CAFI State Patron, Oba of Ojokoro.land, HRM, Rilwanu Taiwo, JP,
Tagged, “8th Edition of Empowerment for self-reliance and enhanced producyivity”, the Tuesday, December 21 programme would continue to linger in the memories of the over 12, 000 happy people who thronged the venue in their unique Ankara made of green colour dresses.
Dr Okeyomi, flagged by his adorable wife, Pastor Mrs Foluke Okeyomi, while commending his disciples for coming in large numbers to the event, said his slow start a d the challenges he faced in his early Ife did not deter him from embarking on humanitarian strides for his people.
He said he had an avowed commitment to continue to uplift lives, saying that this year’s edition, which saw several people being empowered or given free land, was an improvement over the previous years’ programmes. And he promised to do more.
According to him, scores of Nigerians are now beneficiaries of his empowerment programmes in education,while several others have been given jobs at different levels.
Okeyomi, a politician was not one to forget his root. He also use the occasion to campaign for another term of four years each for Governors of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his deputy Governor, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat and their Ogun State counterpart, Prince Dr Dapo Abiodun and his deputy, Eng,Mrs. Noimot Salako-Oyedele.
For Alhaji Enilolobo, the turnout of people at the event was very overwhelming and exciting. First Lady of Ogun State, Mrs Bamidele Abiodun, while commending Dr Okeyomi for his vision in organising the event, promised to partner with him to add more value to the people.
Beneficiaries of the empowerment programme included, Alfa Adefila Muebi, Mrs Odumbaku, Comrade Lateef Olawale, Chief Mrs Kazerm Adunni and Felicia Adefokun. The happy beneficiaries had word of prayers for Okeyomi for the award, which they said, was surprise Christmas gifts for them.
