He was one of greatest Basket Ball player,having had a distinguished career with the Los Angeles Lakers. No doubt Kobe Bryant etched his name in the minds of many as he is fondly remembered today,one year after his death.
Born Kobe Bean Bryant on August 23, 1978, he
was an American professional basketball player. A shooting guard who spent his entire 20-year career with the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Regarded as one of the greatest players of all time,Bryant helped the Lakers win five NBA championships, and was an 18-time All-Star, a 15-time member of the All-NBA Team, a 12-time member of the All-Defensive Team, the 2008 NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP), and a two-time NBA Finals MVP. Bryant also led the NBA in scoring twice, and ranks fourth on the league’s all-time regular season scoring and all-time postseason scoring lists.
On Sunday, January 26, 2020, tragedy struck when a Sikorsky S-76B helicopter Bryant was traveling in crashed in the city of Calabasas, California, around 30 miles (48 kilometres) northwest of downtown Los Angeles, while en route from John Wayne Airport to Camarillo Airport. It had on board Bryant,his daughter, Gianna and seven others. Bryant is survived by three other daughters and his wife Vanessa.
On this day,many still remember his lasting legacies and continue to pray for the loved ones of all the souls lost in the accident.
