Queen Elizabeth II is celebrating her 95th Birthday today. This is her First Birthday without her beloved husband, Prince Philip in 73 years.
They were Married in 1947 and He recently died at the Age of 99.
Christened Elizabeth Alexandra Mary, she was born on the 21st April 1926 and she is the Queen of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms.
When her father died in February 1952, Elizabeth became head of the Commonwealth and queen regent of seven independent Commonwealth countries: the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Pakistan, and Ceylon. She has reigned as a constitutional monarch through major political changes, such as devolution in the United Kingdom, Canadian patriation, and the decolonisation of Africa. She ascended the throne on February 6th, 1952.
Married to Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh who recently passed on at the ripe age of 99, the couple had four children together; Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward.
