The political infighting between the former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose and incumbent Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde over the control of the PDP in the southwest has been temporarily put to rest as the former referred o the latter as his leader at the ongoing Zonal Congress of the Peoples Democratic Party holding at the Women and Children development Initiative Foundation in Osogbo, Osun State.

While addressing the delegates at the venue, Fayose said in a viral video “The Governor of Oyo State, Governor Seyi Makinde, my brother, my friend and by the grace of God, our leader”.

Former Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Taofeek Arapaja and Immediate zonal chairman of the party, Eddey Oyefeso are both contesting for chairmanship, a total of 734 Delegates across the region are expected to elect the next leader.
