Creative Industry’s next big thing – Adeduntan***as Esther wins First Bank-sponsored Voice Nigeria Season 3

  After 18 weeks of intense and spectacular performances, Esther Benyeogo emerged the winner of season 3 of The Voice Nigeria on Saturday. She gained the highest number of votes, to beat   other top talents, walking home with the coveted prizes including a cash reward of 10 Million Naira, an SUV, and a recording contract from Universal Music Group.
The Grand finale kicked off Naomi and Dapo from #TeamFalz who set the melodic tune for the night with their rendition of “A Million Dreams. ” They were introduced by the host, Nancy Isime. Naomi made it into the top four. 
  Next up to sing were Esther and Kphee from #TeamDarey and they  performed Simi’s “Duduke”. Both of them made it to the top four. The final duet was by Kitay and Eazzie from #TeamWaje and #TeamYemi and they  performed Davido and Teni’s  “All My Ego Na For You” . Afterwards, Eazzie took the final slot in  the top four.     Individual performances by the top four contestants saw Naomi perform Mercy Chinwo’s ” Excess Love”, Kphee sang Dbanj’s “Emergency”   Eazzie performed Alicia Key’s “We Are Here”, adding her own creative inflections. Esther ended the performances with Adele’s “Hello”  In no particular order, the top three contestants were announced – Esther, Eazzie and Kphee. Thereafter, Esther sang Westlife’s  You Raise me Up, Eazzie rendered Sam Smith’s Writings on the Wall while Kphee chose Fireboy DML’s Champion.  The finale came to a climax when the top three contestants came on stage and  Esther was annouced the winner of the Voice Nigeria Season 3.
Speaking on why FirstBank decided to sponsor the show, the Managing Director/CEO of the bank, Dr. Adesola Adeduntan said , ” We have been around for 127years and we see the creative industry as the next big thing. We think the commercial opportunities are tremendous and want to be a part of it. It’s been an exciting journey since March. We see this as an integral part of our Corporate Social Responsibility towards  supporting youths. “

   On his part, representative of  Baba Ijebu, Mr. Kenneth Nwankwo noted the company has always been passionate about the youths, hence why it came on board the show.
  Mr. Geoffrey Efe Urobo of Airtel added that the Voice Nigeria has been identifying talents which resonates with Airtel’s motto of Enriching Lives. 
Commenting on her win,  an elated Esther said: “I am grateful to The Voice Nigeria and my fans out there for this amazing experience. It has been my utmost joy to come on your screens every week and share my gift on such a huge platform. This win is even more special for me because it is one thing to know you have a gift, but it means everything to be recognized for that gift. I must however give thanks to God without whom I would not be here today. ”   She also appreciated  her family and friends for their love, support, and prayers.” Of course, I am thankful to my Coach,  Darey for making my time here truly rewarding, and for equipping me with the skills to give this my best shot.”
